Short version: we collect very little, we sell nothing, and we use what you give us to reply to you and make the site better. The long version follows, because it should.

Who we are

Maidaan ("we", "us") is a brand growth partnership based in Pune, India, operating this website at maidaan.org. For anything privacy-related, write to talktomaidaan@gmail.com.

What we collect

Information you give us. When you use the contact form, we receive whatever you enter: typically your name, email address, company, and message. That is it. No enrichment services, data-broker lookups, or hidden profiling, no enrichment services quietly building a dossier.

Information collected automatically. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used: pages visited, time on page, approximate location by city, device and browser type. This relies on cookies and similar identifiers. It tells us things like "people read the FAQ" rather than anything about you personally.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, which is presumably why you wrote to us
To understand what works on the site and improve it
To keep the site secure and functioning

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent it. We do not trade it for anything, including compliments.

Who processes it

A small number of service providers handle data on our behalf: Formspree (delivers contact form submissions to our inbox), Google Analytics (site usage statistics), and Netlify (hosts the site and keeps standard server logs). Each processes data under its own privacy terms, and each is a well-established provider rather than three raccoons in a server room.

Cookies

The only cookies here belong to Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's own Analytics opt-out tool. The site works fine without them.

How long we keep it

Contact enquiries are kept for as long as the conversation is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case it resumes. Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics defaults. If you want your information deleted sooner, ask and we will do it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act and the EU's GDPR, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, email talktomaidaan@gmail.com. No forms in triplicate. One email does it.

Changes

If we change this policy, the new version appears here with an updated effective date. We will not make changes that quietly turn "we sell nothing" into something else.
