The backstory

The name, the story,
the humans.

Every company says they started because they "saw a gap in the market." We started because we kept watching good brands lose to louder ones, and ran out of patience. Allow us to explain.

First, the name

A maidaan is the open ground where everyone plays.

A maidaan has no dress code and no bouncer. Everyone gets the same patch of grass. Out here the sharper story wins and the bigger wallet just watches.

The name came to us on a field, handed over by someone we adore* who said it once, and we fell for it on the spot.

Before it was a company it was a friendship, two people trading campaigns they wished they'd made, until "one day" got impatient.

So we made a rule: only the good stuff, only the fun way. A terrible way to relax. A wonderful way to work.

* She knows who she is.

House rules

How we play.

// Four rules. No asterisks. (Except the one above.)

Rule 01 A founder picks up. Every time.
Rule 02 No sport is played alone. Ego stays benched.
Rule 03 We keep score by what moved, not what looked busy.
Rule 04 Every brief starts on a blank pitch. Zero templates.

Next: what we believe

Kick-off

The field's open.
Your move.

That's our story. Yours could use a good co-writer.
